MARIANA BE traveled to the Holy Land intending to stay for 20 days and write two or three songs. Instead, she stayed for nearly three months on her first journey, returned the following year, and ultimately created 27 songs inspired by the places, encounters and moments of prayer she experienced in Magdala and Jerusalem.
The first song began while Mariana was alone in Magdala's Encounter Chapel by the Sea of Galilee. As she contemplated the Gospel story of the woman reaching out to touch Jesus' cloak, one word began repeating in her mind: Sáname. Heal me. She recorded the emerging melody on her phone, then moved to guitar and piano to develop what would become Heal Me, O My Lord / Sáname, Señor, the first song of The Holy Land Experience.
What began as a deeply personal search for healing, faith and direction gradually became something Mariana wanted to share with others. As new songs emerged from different places, Gospel passages and encounters, the project grew across languages and musical influences into a contemporary music and cultural experience rooted in the Holy Land.
The first journey gave her the experience. The second gave the experience its musical form.

About Mariana
Born in Mexico, raised in the United States and rooted in Middle Eastern heritage, MARIANA BE creates where cultures, languages and ways of seeing the world meet.
As a singer, songwriter, composer and producer, she moves across Pop, Latin and Classical influences. Her songs turn lived experience into space for reflection, hope, faith, beauty and human connection.
In 2022, a planned 20-day writing trip to the Holy Land became nearly three months in Magdala and Jerusalem. That journey grew into 27 songs across three multilingual album projects, beginning with The Holy Land Experience.
